Covid 19 Information

June 1, 2020

Dear Patient,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health at this very extraordinary time dealing with the Coronavirus Pandemic. These last few months have been and continue to be very challenging for everyone, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same, our commitment to your health and safety.

Our office follows recommendations and guidelines made by the American Dental Association (ADA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the State, to protect you and our staff. You may notice the following changes when it is time for your next appointment.

  • Appointments will be scheduled to allow for physical distancing between patients. In order to comply with the CDC recommendation, we are reducing the number of patients seen in a day so as to reduce patient contact. We ask that you arrive at your scheduled appointment time.
  • We kindly ask you to inform us of your arrival by phone, and remain in your car until we call or text you to enter the office. Please have any companions stay in the car. Only the patient remains in the office.
  • Masks are required to enter the office. We have hand sanitizer that we will ask all patients to use upon entry.
  • A wellness screening will be performed upon entry that will consist of taking the patient’s temperature, oxygen saturation, and answering a few health related questions.
  • You will find that we have limited the seating in our waiting room, removed magazines and other literature, and the coffee machine to avoid cross contamination.
  • After you check in, complete any registration, and make follow up appointments, you will be directed to the treatment room.

We will be charging $25 for surgical appointments and $15 for non-surgical appointments for the increased cost of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is required to keep you and ourselves safe.

You will be hearing from us regarding scheduling your next appointment when the office reopens. We will begin a slow reopening with scheduling patients based on the date last seen. We feel that this is the most efficient method of adequately getting all patients back on track. We look forward to seeing you. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the steps we are taking to keep you and every patient safe in our practice.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty, and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.

Sincerely,

Elkins Park Periodontics and Implant Dentistry LLC
